R...E...D -- Remember Everyone Deployed
The Dow High Football Team is holding their annual Military Appreciation Night game this Friday, September 13th at home against Bay City Central. Please join us in supporting our veteran and active duty military personnel. You can show your support by making donations or buying R.E.D t-shirts at tables in hallway in front of the main office during both lunches. You can also show your support and your Charger SPIRIT by wearing red, white, and blue on Friday at school and at the game that night.
Looking for a fun way to show your spirit on Friday's Red, White and Blue day? The Charge Robotics is selling red, white, and blue Pura Vida bracelets at Dow High this week. Bracelets are $5 each and you can get them at lunch Wednesday, Thursday and Friday or Friday after school until 4 p.m.. Help support Dow High Robotics and get a cool USA bracelet in return!
Hey key clubbers! Our first official key club meeting is today after 7th hour in room 221. Make sure to come by and sign up for some projects!

The first National Honor Society meeting of the year will be Thursday, September 12th for about twenty minutes, which both probationary and inducted members are expected to attend one. The times are before school at 7:10, after sixth hour at 2:30, and after the seventh hour at 3:30.
Are you interested in recycling? If so come help clean the school by joining NHS recycling wednesday mornings at 7:00 in Mr. Frye’s room 393. You can earn a half hour of in school hours for NHS but you don't have to the part of NHS to participate.
There are no available parking spots to purchase. The band lot will open for purchase after marching band season is over mid to late October.
Do you feel like you don’t have a voice in school? Sick of the same people and adults making all the decisions? Interested in helping with homecoming? Come to room 323 on September 19th at 7 am with your ideas and suggestions and take part in the first meeting for 2019-2020 of the Dow High Student Council--The Voice of Dow High. EVERYONE is welcome to attend and join! Remember, just like with democracy, if you don't participate, you don't get to complain.
The Dow High Math Club will begin meeting this week. Our first meeting will be on Friday, Sept 13th after 7th hour (at 3:30) in the CEC computer lab (room 140). We will have snacks and make plans for what we want to do this school year. Please see Mrs. White if you have any questions.
Congrats Cross Country Runners!
The Dow High Cross Country team participated in the 1st Saginaw Valley League North Jamboree yesterday. The Girls team came in 3rd place and were lead by a 9th place finish by Isabella Rhee. Megan Churm came in 15th and Mallory Matthews came in 16th. Also scoring for Dow were Monica Thill, Tristan Luick, Norah Allington, and Brea Lincoln.
The Boys team finished 4th lead by Josiah Burr in 4th, Joshua Burr 13th and Peter Kozerski 15th. Also scoring for Dow were River Penn, Nick Butcher, Nathan Rhee, and Ben Scott.
Did you miss summer tryouts but still want to cheer on your football team from the sidelines?
Sideline cheer tryouts will be held this Thursday, September 12th from 4:30-6pm in the loft. You MUST have a current charger card on file to tryout. Reach out to a current cheerleader or get in touch with Coach Katie with any questions.
ATTENTION HOCKEY PLAYERS:
Anyone interested in trying out for the 2019-2020 Charger hockey team is to meet this Wednesday, September 11, at 2:35 in room 134. Please stop by even if you are currently involved in a fall sport. The meeting will be brief.
